Getting Started
The following is a simple walk-through to familiarize you with how GoBackup works.
If you have not yet installed GoBackup, see the Installation page.
Init Config
$ touch ~/.gobackup/gobackup.yml
NOTE: Or put config file in there:
/etc/gobackup/gobackup.yml
And then edit the config file like this:
models:
my_app:
compress_with:
type: tgz
storages:
local:
type: local
keep: 20
path: /data/backups
databases:
my_app:
database: my_app_production
type: mysql
host: localhost
port: 3306
username: root
archive:
includes:
- /var/www/my_app/uploads
- /var/www/my_app/shared/ssl
Start Service
Use gobackup start
to start the service in background.
$ gobackup start
2023/03/15 23:00:30 [Config] Load config from default path.
Starting API server on port http://127.0.0.1:2703
Now you can visit Web UI at: http://127.0.0.1:2703 (opens in a new tab)
💡 You can also start gobackup in front by use
gobackup run
.
Perform Backup
$ gobackup perform
